Ag Education Day set to go at the Exh Grounds

First and second grade students from across Lloydminster will get to learn about farming through Ag Education Day on Tuesday, April 28.

The day has been run by the Agricultural Exhibition since 1996, and teaches children how food gets from the farm to the grocery store at no cost to schools. There will be seven learning stations representing the following sectors of agriculture:  beef, sheep, horse, swine, poultry, dairy, and grains.  The exhibition says stations will use a hands-on approach to learning about agriculture and the food chain.

Approximately 1,298 children will be in attendance at this year’s event. Tours will start at 9:00, 10:30, and 1:15.
