Bonnyville RCMP investigate break-ins at oilfield dog houses

Bonnyville RCMP are investigating three break-ins to oilfield dog houses that occurred within the past week.

The police say that on Thrusday, December 17, a break-in to an Ensign Energy Services dog house on Range Road 490 was reported, and a trail cam, Telus booster, and tools were stolen.

On Monday, December 21, Ensign reported another break-in to a dog house, but nothing was stolen. That same day, Trans Canada Pipeline reported that one of their compressor sites on Range Road 492 near Township Road 614 was broken into as well.

The RCMP say that the incidents are under investigation, and that it’s possible the break-ins are related.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to call Bonnyville RCMP at (780) 343-7200 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS.
