Viterra invests in Lakeland College through student scholarship

Canadian grain-handling business, Viterra, has made a significant investment to Lakeland College.

Students will soon benefit from the $75 thousand investment through the Viterra Scholarship of Excellence.

The scholarships will be available over a 10-year period to students in agricultural sciences and business administration diploma programs, the general agriculture certificate program, and the pre-employment electrical certificate program, who are enrolled in full-time, second-year studies.

“It’s an exciting time to be in the business of agriculture, and our company is constantly looking for the best people to help us connect our farm customers to marketing opportunities around the world,” says Kyle Jeworski, Viterra’s President and CEO for North America.

The first Viterra scholarship is valued at $2,000.00 for this year and will be awarded at the annual awards celebration this month.
