RCMP Warn Drivers During Impaired Driving Month

Lloydminster RCMP will be keeping an eye out for impaired drivers over the holidays as part of Impaired Driving Month. Police forces across Alberta will be out in force, holding check stops and public awareness campaigns in an effort to reduce drinking and driving, as well as driving while high. Lloydminster RCMP Constable Grant Kirzinger says that impaired driving is a big problem in Midwestern Canada, as the number of cases in Alberta and Saskatchewan far exceed the national average. Constable Kirzinger also says that when attending parties where they will be drinking, people should make smart decisions, like having a designated driver, or taking a cab home.
