Maidstone RCMP Arrest Male after Break and Enter

A 62 year old man from Lucky Lake Saskatchewan is facing multiple charges.
Early on Saturday morning, a woman living in a rural area near Unity called police after being awakened by an older white male who she didn’t know. The man allegedly asked for her to get him a coffee and then left. The woman was able to get a picture of the suspect before locking herself in the bathroom and calling for help.
The RCMP say the male left in a blue sedan that headed north at a high rate of speed. After reports of the vehicles driving erratically at high speeds in the early afternoon, the RCMP were able to locate the vehicle 10 km East of Maidstone. The male occupant matched the description of the suspect from the break in and some of the property believed to be stolen was located in the vehicle.
The male is charged with:
  • Impaired Driving
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property obtained by Crime
  • Possession of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.

The accused appeared in Lloydminster Court today and has been released on an Undertaking to appear in Provincial Court in Maidstone on July 11th.
