Early Tuesday morning, Battlefords RCMP say they responded to a report of an assault with a weapon on a northern First Nations community.
RCMP say an unknown male was at a home when he began assaulting another male with a big knife that resembled a machete.
EMS responded and one male was taken by ambulance to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, no one else was injured.
This matter remains under investigation.
