The City of Lloydminster has announced a construction project on 25th Street, between 50th and 53rd avenue. Starting January 12th, the sanitary trunk on 25th street will be twinned, calling for the need of additional pipe to be laid. As a result, the north side of 25th street will be closed for 3 blocks west of highway 17, and two-way traffic will be re-routed south of the median. The construction is part of a larger project that will upgrade the sanitary system from 23rd to 25th street, and 50th to 59th avenue. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes, and leave extra time for travel.
