Town of Vermilion Municipal Election Information

The Town of Vermilion will be heading to the polls on Monday for the municipal election.

Three people are running for mayor, including incumbent Bruce MacDuff, three term councillor Caroline MacAuley and newcomer Kirby Whitlock. As well, seven people are vying for six spots on council.

The polls will be open from 10 a.m.-8 pm., with the polling station located at Elk’s Hall.

Voters must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen and a resident of Alberta for a minimum of 6 months prior to the election and must live in division on election day. To vote, you need one piece of government issued photo I.D. which contains your address or another document clearly stating your name and address. Passports are not accepted.
