Nine People Arrested Following Execution of Two Search Warrants

Following the execution of two search warrants in the North Battleford, nine people have been arrested.

Mid-Friday afternoon, the RCMP executed a search warrant in the 700 block of 99th Street.

Police seized of a sawed off .22 calibre rifle, a shotgun, a pellet gun resembling a assault rifle, an extendable baton, a small amount of marijuana, scales and cash.  Police also recovered a stolen vehicle from Alberta. Four adults are facing several weapons charges and offences related to the stolen automobile. Police say two small children were also removed and placed with family.

Later the same day, a search warrant was executed at the 1200 block of 106 Street. Police seized cocaine, hydromorphone, and several other types of pills. Hydromorphone is an opioid pain medication. Three women and two men were arrested and charges are pending.

The RCMP are continuing to investigate.
