The number of people who have been put in hospital for the flu in Alberta has jumped by 234 in just over two weeks.

Hospitals in the province have seen 459 people hospitalized, including eight deaths from the flu since the beginning of the season. In the central zone, which houses Lloydminster, the number of hospitalizations has gone up by 18 since November 24th.

The number of people getting their flu shot has risen too, with 1,004,357 people in Alberta getting immunized including 93, 963 in the central zone.
