The Alberta government is working to address a senior care shortage in Lloydminster. The province has announced $4.4 million in funding to Pioneer Lodge, to build a new wing housing 44 additional beds, for those needing a higher level of care. Pioneer Lodge Administrator Joy Bell says the funding doesn’t completely cover the costs of the expansion, there may be more funding to come.
