The race to fill retired Conservative MP Gerry Ritz’s seat will reach its tipping point today.
Tonight’s vote will determine whether Battlefords-Lloydminster remains a Conservative stronghold as it has been for the last 20 years or a new party takes the reins.
Rosemarie Falk is representing the conservatives, Larry Ingram for the Liberals, Matt Fedler the NDP and Yvonne Potter-Pihach the Green Party. Ken Finlayson is also running as an independent.
Voters can find out where to cast their ballot on the back of their voter information card or on Elections Canada’s website. If residents haven’t received a voter card or are unregistered, they can register at the polling place.
People voting are also required to bring photo ID and proof of address. Polls are open until 8:30 pm.
