HOG Chapter Toy Run Spreads Christmas Cheer

The Harley Owners’ Group’s has given away everything they received from their annual Toy Run.

The 7th annual event collects donations and toys and Director of the Border Town HOG Chapter Murray Getty says this was a big year.

“This year we were over $68,000 raised for  local children’s charities. That’s a record year for us up from last year, and with the economy the way it is and still hasn’t quite turned around yet, it amazes me how generous the people of Lloydminster are.”

The grand total was divided between 10 local charities at an event held at the Sticks over the weekend.

“The Lloydminster Community Centre, Big Brothers Big Sisters and KidSport Lloydminster, those are kind of the three big ones that we help out. There’s another 7 charities on top of that that include the Goat’s Christmas Wish and Ronald McDonald Houses and a few other charities as well.”

Getty says The Bordertown H.O.G Chapter would like to thank the community and it’s members for their continued support and look forward to “an even bigger and better year in 2018.”
