Traffic slowed after oversized load hits Highway 16 overpass

UPDATE: The RCMP says the road is now clear.

Eastbound traffic on Highway 16 is being slowed down by an oversized load that hit the rail overpass. Lloydminster RCMP say crews are working to remove it and traffic may be stopped at times.

To avoid the area, drivers can use 40 Avenue South from Highway 16 to 12 Street East. We’ll update when the road is clear.
