Maidstone RCMP say that one person was killed in Monday night’s accident on Highway 16 between a sedan and a gravel truck. Both vehicles were west bound just outside of Lashburn.
A 30-year-old man from Edmonton and lone occupant of the sedan was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was treated at the scene by local EMS and released.
The investigation is ongoing, however Highway 16 has re-opened.
