On January 15, a truck rammed into a police vehicle head one and a second police vehicle as it fled from a Frog Lake gas station.
The truck was found nearby after hitting a stop sign and the two people inside fled on foot, but were later arrested by Elk Point RCMP.
21-year old male, Kannan Desjarlais and 18-year old female, Billie Wheaton both from Cold Lake are charged with flight from police, possession of stolen property over $5,000, mischief and fail to comply with court order.
At the time of the arrest, Desjarlais was wanted for failing to attend court from a previous charge in Vermilion and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on February 1, 2018. Wheaton appeared in Cold Lake Provincial Court Wednesday.
