The Alberta RCMP have charged Orion Rutley with two counts of uttering threats after he had posted threatening messages on Twitter towards Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Rachel Notley.
Rutley was arrested on January 19 and was released with several conditions including having no contact with Trudeau or Notley, no use of social media and no possession of weapons.
He will appear in Provincial Court in Leduc on Thursday, February 8, 2018.
