Truck weight road ban starting in County of Vermilion River

Trucks travelling through The County of Vermilion River will have to follow a new weight class starting Friday.

Starting Friday at Midnight, trucks driving through the county can only carry 75% of the provincial weight from Highway 619 to Township Road 482. Vehicles operating over 22,500 Kg must receive a county permit before going through the area.

The County says there are putting the ban in place for public safety and to preserve infrastructure in the town during the winter thaw. There is no set end date for the ban yet.
