The Native Friendship Centre has partnered with Lloydminster’s elementary schools. The centre’s Youth Coordinator Raeanne Harper says she visits each school regularly to make crafts and play traditional First Nations games with the children.
Principal of Winston Churchill Elementary School Elena Brand says that the partnership has been very helpful in teaching students about different cultures, and that her students have enjoyed the experience.
Harper says she hopes to expand her work into high schools as well.
