Businesses to have more access to resources through Startup Lloydminster

Lloydminster’s Regional Business Accelerator has joined a nation wide network to give entrepreneurs more resources for their business.

The announcement was made on March 22 that RBA was re-branding and joining Startup Canada’s network of communities. Executive Director of Startup Lloydminster Tess Wack says that they are still providing their standard services, but will have more resources for businesses in the City.

“We’re not just for startups, even though our name is Startup Lloydminster. We’re there for every stage of your business, whether it’s the initial or the growth or whatever that looks like. We’re here to support that.”

Business coaching and networking opportunities are still available, along with their resources of accountants, lawyers and marketing. Wack says that their transition into a new nation wide organization is going to help Lloydminster businesses grow.

“With joining the Startup Canada community we do have access to a national network of resources, whereas before we were really utilizing provincial wide and regional wide, but now this gives us a few more to support our entrepreneurs.”

Startup Canada has 20 startup communities across the country as part of their organization and represents more than 80,000 entrepreneurs. Wack says that they’re still supporting the same entrepreneurs and businesses as before, but with more tools being given to local businesses.
