A new policy approved by Council will see more transparency in City spending.
Among the changes in the new policy, purchases of $75,000 or greater for goods and services, as well as construction contracts exceeding $200,000 will be posted on the City’s website for residents and businesses to easily find.
Mayor Gerald Aalbers says the new changes in the Purchasing and Procurement Policy will promote more clarity, fairness and accountability in their processes of spending City money.
The last updates were made in January 2016.
