Cutter Rally for Cancer 2018 raises $12,000 for the LRHF

This years Cutter Rally for Cancer raises $12,000 for the Lloydminster Regional Health foundation.

Over the years the rally has donated $31,556.44 to the Health Foundation and this year raised funds totaling $12,000. Chairperson of the Cutter Rally for Cancer Della Wist says that the committee for the event always works hard to make sure they reach their goal.

“That team is fantastic, they are such workers. They are doing whatever needs to be done and in a timely manner.”

The proceeds of the event are going towards buying two new chemotherapy chairs for the cancer ward in the Lloydminster Hospital. CEO of the Health Foundation Malcolm Radke says that the committee for the rally has been raising funds for a long time in the community.

“The event itself this year purchased one chair and then knowing that the department was hoping for two, the committee went above and beyond and did a little fundraising themselves to make sure that there were two. So that kind of generosity is awesome.”

The event also raised $890.02 for the Canadian Cancer Society.
