Lloydminster RCMP say a truck hit a person crossing an intersection sending them to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
On Thursday at approximately 12 p.m., a truck heading North on 57 Avenue turning East onto Highway 16 hit a person who was walking west on the sidewalk along Highway 16, crossing the intersection at 57 Avenue.
“Now that the weather has gotten warm, drivers need to look more carefully for pedestrians,” says Constable Grant Kirzinger. ” Drivers also need to take extra time to make sure that the sun isn’t blocking their view, likewise pedestrians need to make sure that drivers see and acknowledge them before walking across an intersection.”
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
