Two community grants are currently accepting applications to fund local programs.
The Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Grant Program is looking for preventative programs and services in the City to apply for funding provided by the Province of Alberta. FCSS offers grants to programs in a wide variety of areas including support services for school aged children, home support and youth development.
The Lloydminster Tobacco Reduction Grant is also looking for applicants that aim to create a healthier and smoke-free City. Funding is provided to non-profit organizations, schools and volunteer projects that raise awareness of the health risk associated with tobacco or support a tobacco free lifestyle. The funds will be provided through Business Licence Fees for tobacco retailers.
The deadline to apply for both grant programs is May 28.
