Lloydminster RCMP recover 100 stolen items after search warrant

Lloydminster RCMP recovers tools, weapons and household items in a break and enter and theft from vehicle investigation.

On May 24, the mounties began the investigation that lead them to a residence in the 2600 block of 48 Avenue, where a man was riding a stolen bike. A search warrant was completed on the man’s home and police found close to 100 stolen items.

The RCMP have charged Barry Werstroh and John Werstroh both from Lloydminster with Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, two counts of Fraud, two counts of Unauthorized possession of a weapon and Possession of Break-In Instruments. John was also charged with an additional three different breaches.

Both men have already appeared before a Justice of the Peace and were remanded into custody. Since then they have been released and will appear in Saskatchewan Province Court on June 11 and 18.

The investigation is ongoing and police expect more investigations to be concluded from the search warrant. Lloydminster RCMP are also asking any residents who have had their tools stolen to contact them.
