Border City Furniture is hosting a charity barbeque and all the proceeds will be going to the Goats Christmas Wish.
Owner of Border City Furniture Calvin Pittao says his company will be providing the space and materials needed to throw the BBQ and everything donated will go to the Wish on July 6th.
”We bring them out, they set up in front of our store, we provide the barbeque and all the fixings and everything they need for the barbeque and they just run it and anything they make goes 100 percent to the Goats Christmas Wish.”
Pittao adds being born and raised in Lloydminster is one of the reasons he loves to give back to the community in anyway he can and chose The Goats Christmas Wish because of the impact it’s had for families in need around the holidays.
“Every second week through the summer months we bring in another local non-profit, to give them the stage and let them take that opportunity to let the people know who they are, what they do and why they’re necessary.”
Borer City Furniture does seven charity events through the summer. On July 6th Border City Furniture will be hosting the Charity BBQ outside their store from 11am-2pm. The event will have hamburgers, smokies, beverages and ribs on a bun.
