Construction on houses in the City have seen little change compared to last year, according to the second quarterly report from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
In 2017, nine single-family homes were being built during the same time in both Saskatchewan and Alberta. This year Alberta has seen the number increase by one to 10 homes under construction, whereas in Saskatchewan six houses are being built.
There are zero multi-family homes being built for 2018 on both sides of the city. Last year during the second quarter, Saskatchewan saw four homes getting started. A total of 16 homes are being built for 2018, whereas 22 were under construction last year during the same period.
Year-to-date there are 19 starts on the Alberta side and 23 in Saskatchewan.
