Vehicle stolen from driver at knife-point

Lloydminster RCMP say a vehicle was stolen by three people who held the driver at knife-point.

On Saturday evening, Two men and a woman took a vehicle, a cell phone and demanded the victim to leave the vehicle at knife-point. RCMP were able to locate the vehicle shortly after in the 3000 block of 57A Avenue.

The woman and one of the men were taken into custody without incident. 31-year old Sherry Thunderchild from Onion Lake and 21-year old Logan Jimmy from Thunderchild First Nation have been charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief and assault with a weapon.

In addition, Thunderchild was charged with obstruction and personation, while Jimmy was additionally charged with failing to comply. Jimmy is currently in custody and Thunderchild was released after appearing before a Justice of the Peace. Both will appear in Alberta Provincial Court on August 14.
