Strathcona County RCMP has charged two males from North Battleford in a series of crimes that spanned three areas.
October 12, 2017 at 12:20 AM RCMP notified Edmonton Police Services of a Black Ford Fusion they were following. The vehicle was involved in an armed carjacking in Edmonton. At the same time, the Strathcona County RCMP received a complaint of shots fired at the Holiday Inn Express. A male individual had been shot in the shoulder and neck area. The male was taken to Royal Alexandria hospital and had suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Around 12:30 am the Black Ford Fusion was involved in another armed carjacking with a shotgun, at a Flying “J” gas station. A Black Chrysler 300 was stolen. Both stolen vehicles had driven away at the same time.
The two males aged 30 and 24 years-old are currently in custody and have been charged with over thirty criminal charges each and are scheduled to appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on Wednesday, September 12th.
