Battleford provincial park treatment plant set for 2019 completion

The Battlefords are part of Saskatchewan’s plan of investing over $11 million for provincial park improvements in 2018-19.

Construction of a new water treatment plant at the Battlefords Provincial Park is scheduled for completion in 2019. A new digital messaging sign has also been installed to communicate important information to park visitors.

Nearly $3.6 million will be invested into the province’s North West. Saskatchewan says facilities and infrastructure is a huge part of a visitors experience.

“In the North West region, the improvements being made will help ensure park safety, increase accessibility and convenience, while continuing to make our parks enjoyable places for families.”

Planned park improvements for 2018-19 will increase total investment in parks to nearly $110 million since 2008.
