North Battleford will be one of the communities recognizing Fire Prevention Week. This year’s campaign “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere” is educating people about the basic steps to reduce the likelihood of a fire and how to escape a fire.
During the prevention week starting on October 9th, North Battleford firefighters will be visiting different places in the city to discuss fire safety needs. The week will give various communities the chance to make sure their residents understand how to stay safe in case of a fire, as well as bring awareness to the risk of death due to a fire.
On October 9 firefighters will be at Canadian Tire from 1:30 to 5 p.m. and the following day they will visit Walmart from 6:30 to 8 p.m. For a full list of times and locations visit the North Battleford website.
