The 19-year-old man accused in an amber alert in North Battleford will return to court next week for a show cause hearing. The hearing will allow the crown prosecutor to show cause why the accused should remain in custody, according to North Battleford Provincial Court.
Jonathan Ryann Gunville from North Battleford appeared in court Tuesday morning via CCTV from Saskatoon where he is currently in custody.
He is facing numerous charges including abandoning a child and abduction in relation to a Sept. 16 incident that triggered a province-wide amber alert. He is also facing charges related to two vehicle thefts on Sept. 19 and 20.
His third court appearance resulted in a show cause hearing on October 19 at 11 a.m.
