The City of Lloydminster wants the community to know snow and ice operations ahead of the winter season.
According to The City, Roads and sidewalks will be split into two separate priorities during snow removal and sanding. Priority one roads include 67th and 44th Street, they will be serviced within two days of a snowfall 5cm or over, priority two will be completed afterwards, which include 50th and 62 Street. The Central Business district will completed when needed. Priority one sidewalks will be completed within 72 hours, priority two will be cleared as soon as possible afterwards.
The City wants to recommend residents stay away from parking at marked snow removal routes. Owners and residents of municipal homes are responsible for snow and other materials removed from sidewalks within 72 hours and cannot throw into streets, public places or private properties other than their own.
