Battlefords RCMP is investigating several currency incidents after multiple businesses complain of fake $50 and $100 bills.

Police say one complaint involves two men using large poor quality bills to purchase cheap items. The business noticed before the purchase went through. The men are described as Caucasian, both between 25-30 years-old and stand around 6 ft tall, they were wearing hats and hoodies. Another report had a First Nations female purchase fuel with a $50 bill staff noticed was clearly fake. Suspects have been identified and investigations are ongoing.

RCMP are reminding people to take a look at the money before putting the transactions through, especially with larger bills. If anyone has information regarding these crimes or any other are asked to contact Battlefords RCMP or Crimestoppers.
