Wainwright man arrested in child luring investigation

A Wainwright man is among those facing charges after an eight-month investigation into luring children online for sex. Members of the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams’ Internet Child Exploitation unit say 69 charges in total have been laid. The first arrests took place in February.

42-year-old John Leskosky of Wainwright now faces three charges that include child luring. 11 other suspects from Edmonton, St. Albert and Drayton Valley have also been charged.

Police say none of the investigations are related, other than the similar nature of the crime. Nearly 50 computers and other electronics were seized by police as part of the investigations.
