Drinking water advisory in effect for Lashburn

The Saskatchewan Water Security Agency has issued a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory for residents in Lashburn, SK.

The advisory is due to depressurization caused by maintenance to a water main break. They say to boil all water for at least one minute if you are drinking it, as well as not to use water for washing dishes unless the water has been boiled.

They also ask residents not to drink water from public fountains and to use an alternative water source that is safe, if you don’t want to boil your water. The agency says younger children and infants should be sponged bathed during this time. Anyone with cuts or rashes are advised to see a physician before using water.

The advisory will be in effect until further notice.
