This week started off with Mother Nature breaking a record. The wind on Monday broke a new record of 44 km/h.
It nearly doubled the average wind speed for January 7, which is marked down as 25 km/h.
Though it was windy, the maximum windchill of -34 C did not break the 1991 record of -45 C.
Wind speed is not expected to be exceptional for the rest of the week. Temperatures will average slightly below seasonal levels with an average high of -10 and average low of -19.
