New Signal lights being installed in Lloydminster will cause detour routes for the time being. EPCOR will be installing the lights at the intersections of 25 Street and 59 Avenue and at 44 Street and 62 Avenue, starting Monday, January 28, 2019.
The City of Lloydminster says in a statement that the intersection of 25 Street and 59 Avenue warrants lights due to the increase in traffic flow. Construction at 44 Street and 62 Avenue will include replacing the lights and removing the current street light poles in the middle of the meridian.
The City adds upgrades are expected to take approximately two weeks. Detour routes will be marked as temporary lane restrictions are expected.
