The Council of the County of Vermilion River has appointed a new Interim Chief Administrative Officer due to the resignation of Rhonda King. Former Elk Point administrator Pat King has signed up to work until a permanent CAO is found.
“I am very excited to be here and looking forward to working with Council and the community. For the past 6 years, I have assisted several municipalities during their transition periods between CAO’s,” says King in a statement.
In 2015, King retired as Park County CAO to be with his family and returned after a short hiatus to continue assisting municipal governments. For the past 4 years, King has helped Councils in Thorhild County, Westlock County, Chestermere, Olds, and Woodlands County during their transition periods between Chief Officers.
During his tenure, King will be a factor in assisting Council to complete the budget process and recruitment process of a permanent CAO.
