Two men are dead and three women are in the hospital after an accident near Biggar.
Late in the evening of Wednesday, August 19, the RCMP were notified of a pickup truck rollover on Highway 14, 3 km east of town. The RCMP found that the truck entered a ditch and struck a highway approach, causing the driver to lose control. The truck rolled more than once before coming to a rest.
The 20-year-old male and a 19-year-old male passenger were found dead at the scene, while three women aged 20-21 were taken to the hospital in Saskatoon.
The RCMP has called a collision re-constructionist to the scene. They say they do not yet know the cause or contributing factors.
