Man wanted for First Degree Murder has ties in North Battleford

RCMP Major Crimes Unit and Strathcona RCMP is asking the public for help finding a man with ties in North Battleford.  Police are looking for 35-year-old Christian Nyabirungu in relation to the murder of Aldane Mesquita on September 13, 2018.

33-year-old Omar Abdirizak Omar, 34-year-old Clement Fofie, and 31-year-old Roger Rurangwa have been charged with First Degree Murder, Kidnapping, and Aggravated Assault for the crime. 29-year-old Mohammed Jawara has been charged with First Degree Murder and Kidnapping. Police says the men are from the Edmonton area.

RCMP says Nyabirungu is described as 6’2″, 240 lbs with black skin, black hair and brown eyes. He has ties in Edmonton, North Battleford and has family in Montreal.

RCMP is asking that the public does not approach Nyabirungu as he is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the man is advised to contact your local police department.
