North Battleford Drivers are reminded be cautious of potholes around the city. Potholes occur when moisture enters cracks in the pavement, which then expand due to freezing.

Until repairs are performed, the City is asking drivers to slow down, drive with caution and report any potholes to City Hall. Residents are reminded to avoid driving through puddles on the streets if possible. Splashing pedestrians will cost you a $100 fine. Potholes underneath the water may also cause damage to your vehicle.

The City says damage caused by potholes should be claimed through your insurance company. The City will not enter into negotiations regarding vehicle damage claims. The City says crews are aware of problem areas, but may not be able to fix some potholes until melting is complete.
