Canadian Olympian makes a stop in border city

The pride of Canadian Olympic glory stepped off her bike and into Lloydminster Tuesday spreading the word about mental health as part of the Bell Let’s Talk campaign. Clara Hughes is biking the entire country to spread the message about mental health, already having completed 7,750 km’s. The journey will take 110 days, finishing in Ottawa on Canada Day. Hughes told the Lloydminster crowd, mental health is a Canadian thing and a human thing and not one country in the world is doing it right in terms of supporting it’s citizens.When the tour is complete Hughes will have travelled 12 thousand kilometers on her bike. Hughes rode five hours from Vegreville to Lloydminster in the rain and thunderstorms with her husband Peter, along with an Olympic teammate.
