City Hall begins work on permanent speed tables

The City of Lloydminster has announced that they will begin installing permanent speed tables in Parkview Estates.

City Hall says that through consultations with homeowners along the traffic calming route, they’ve found that residents are “overwhelmingly in favour” of the speed tables. Construction on the speed tables started Tuesday, August 25, and will be completed by September 4, weather permitting.

The city is also working on curb bump-outs in the neighbourhood, on 65 Avenue north of 39 Street, at the intersection of 39 Street and 66 Avenue, and on 39 Street in front of Holy Rosary High School. Those are expected to be finished mid-September.
