Child porn charges laid in North Battleford

A North Battleford man has been charged with accessing child pornography on Thursday, May 9. Member of the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit and the North Battleford RCMP General Investigations Unit searched a home in North Battleford. The search was related to an investigation of possessing and accessing child pron, between January and May of 2019.

Several computers and digital storage devices were seized during the search for further examination. Cameron Froese, 54, was arrested and charged with accessing child pornography. He was released the same day before a Justice of the Peace and will appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on June 3, at 2 p.m.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the internet.
