Battleford RCMP warrant results in multiple arrests

The execution of a high-risk warrant by the Battlefords RCMP and a police Emergency Response Team resulted in the arrest of eight people.

RCMP says a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Warrant was used to search a home on the 1100 block of 106th street in North Battleford on June 8.

During the search, several firearms, stolen property, and evidence of drug trafficking were found on the property. Three men and five women were arrested without incident.

Police say the investigation is ongoing with charges pending against each person arrested. Due to the complex investigation, RCMP says an update on the charges laid will be provided at a later date.
