The RCMP has determined the disappearance of 25-year-old Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere is the result of foul play. The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crime Unit North, with the help of the North Battleford and Prince Albert Forensic Identification Sections, and an analyst from the RCMP Forensic Laboratory in Edmonton, are now treating the investigation as a homicide.
Over the course of the last several days, Mounties have executed search warrants in a number of locations in North Battleford and are now reviewing the information gathered. Laverdiere, living in Edmonton, was reported missing in North Battleford on May 12. She was in the area of Thunderchild First Nation attending a funeral and wanted to return to Edmonton. She was last seen in North Battleford on May 1.
