The Lloydminster Cultural and Science Centre is calling on local artists to submit their work for the Discovery Art Show.
Artists in the area have until Thursday, September 24 to submit one piece to the centre, for an exhibit beginning on Saturday, September 26.
“A vibrant, inclusive art scene is important to our community identity,” said Patrick Lancaster, General Manager, Culture and Social Services. “The Discovery Art Show is an opportunity for local artists to have their work seen and appreciated by thousands of people. It also serves as a great source of inspiration for artists and art lovers alike.”
The centre is taking a wide range of art, including paintings, collages, sculptures, and fabric art. Artists can submit entries by delivering their work to the LCSC with a title and label, including the artist’s name and contact information.
Contributing artists will receive free admission for themselves and one guest to the exhibit’s closing reception on Saturday, October 24.
