Two RCMP vehicles were involved in a car crash in Onion Lake.
In the afternoon of Saturday, September 19, the police were trying to arrest a man for uttering threats. The man was spotted in a local park, but fled in a vehicle when police arrived. The police were trying to stop the man’s car when two of their vehicles collided, causing one to roll on its side. The officers in the crash were taken to the Lloydminster hospital, but have since been released. The suspect was found a short time later, and arrested.
Onion Lake RCMP have called in a collision reconstructionist from Prince Albert, and the investigation is ongoing.
