Two more individuals have been arrested in the death of Tiki Laverdiere. The Edmonton Police Service has arrested 23-year-old Jesse Sangster. He faces charges of accessory to murder after the fact and theft of a motor vehicle.
On July 31, officers of the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit North arrested 36-year-old Nicole Cook of Edmonton, Alta., in Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. Cook is charged with first degree murder, kidnapping, improperly interfering with a human body and theft of a motor vehicle.
Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere travelled to North Battleford at the end of April to attend the funeral of Tristen Cook-Buckle. Nicole Cook is the mother of Tristen Cook-Buckle.
Both Nicole Cook and Jesse Sangster have been transported back to Saskatchewan and are scheduled to make their first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on August 2 at 9:30 a.m. Three other individuals are charged in her death; Brent Checkosis, Shayla Orthner and Danita Thomas will appear in the North Battleford Provincial Court on Friday, August 2 at 11 a.m.
